Jeremy Zufall Pulls of 2nd Place at the Sharon Speedway "Apple Fest" Dirt Track Auto Racing Event

Great job on the dirt track Jeremy!  After a very long weekend, all ended well.  Jeremy finished 2nd after battling Greg Martin for the entire race.

Night two of "Apple Fest" at Sharon Speedway started off so much better for the Joy Global # 20 with a good pill draw. That put him starting 3rd in the heat race. He got the green and he slid into 2nd place until Adam Hilton from NY got around on him. (He was Friday Nights feature Winner.) He came home 3rd in the 8 lap Heat. After the redraw it put the #20 starting 1st for the 15 lap feature. When the green dropped we had the early led put got passed and went back to 2nd and at the waving of the checkered flags he crossed the line in solid 2nd place finish between the two NY Drivers in the 10 car field. 

RUSH Sportsman Modifieds:

Greg Martin continued his dominance of the RUSH Sportsman Modifieds at Sharon Speedway with his fourth feature win in five tries!

The Western New York native has made the haul to many of the weekly shows in the inaugural season of the series as has Adam Hilton, who's supplied the greatest amount of pressure to Martin's wins in 2014.

But, Jeremy Zufall has also had some strong runs this season and Saturday night may have been one of his best as Martin checked out early in the 15 lap feature. Behind them, Hilton had his hands full from the mid pack in his attempt to run Martin down. It took a last lap pass on Larry Kugel to for Hilton to snag the final podium spot.

Here are the race results from the July 4th dirt track race at the Lernerville Racetrack in Sarver, PA   Jeremy finished 6th.  Lots of out of state competition this time.  Another race coming up on Saturday July 12th for him.  We will post the results.

He's Back on the Track - RUSH - Rushing to Get a Win and GOT IT! First dirt track racing win of the season.

He has never driven this type of car before so it was a new experience.  All of the controls are in the center of the car between the driver's legs so it's really important not to stop too fast!  

His first two races were test races for him to see if the car was ready to go.  After a few adjustments, the second race went better then the first. He had a respectable 10th place finish out of 16 cars in the field.  Not bad for his second time ever in this type of modified.  

He's getting ready to race again tonight.  Finally, a weekend without rain, things will hopefully be looking up for a great racing night on the dirt track.  We will keep you updated.

Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex is seeking an experienced Race Announcer Commentator to work as the Voice of Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex during the 2014 racing season. Commentator should be creative, with high-energy, self-motivated individual with a strong work-ethic.

Announcing includes live driver interviews, safety announcements, live engagements and maintaining a detail driven schedule of events.
Applicants must have the ability to provide:
• Lap-by-lap coverage of the action as it occurs
• Have the ability to describe the events in an often fast-moving contest
• Oversee on track pre-race ceremonies
• Victory lane interviews
• Sponsorship reads.
This position is part-time positions with salary based on experience and skills.
